Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Programming and development of 3+6 Axis automation equipment
Design and implement new EOAT and automation
Maintenance and up keep of Automated assembly equipment
Responsible for ensuring automated production equipment is optimised
Monitoring and improving equipment reliability
Maintain reports daily and build up historical data files for TS16949..
Work as part of a team within the Maintenance Dept. to implement & upkeep TS16949 procedures, Work Instructions, Control Plans and process flows etc..
Implementation of Continuous Improvement activities
Support new product introduction/launch teams
Design automation solutions for new products/business
Ensure equipment utilisation is optimised through effective predictive and preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Ensure all HS&E requirements are adhered to including risk assessments and completion of accident/incident reports ?
Prepare detailed reports or figures as required including performance KPI'S ?
Identify best practice/new technologies and introduce effectively ?
Any other duties deemed appropriate
Skills & Experience:
Time served apprentice in related engineering discipline
Minimum qualification GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths.
Experience of working in a J.I.T Environment
Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
Good understanding of QS / TS / and ISO requirements
Must possess good forms of communication skills both written & oral
Good problem solving skills
Good IT skills and PC literacy
Must have understanding of COSHH.
Awareness of 5s disciplines (preferred).
Must be able to demonstrate good timekeeping and disciplinary record.
PLC and Programming experience
Robotics trained on 3+6 axis technologies
