The Site Contract Manager supports the project and construction team on all site related contractual issues during the construction and commissioning phase of a state-of-the-art, high efficiency gas-fired power plant. He/she identifies potential delays, claims and changes at an early stage and subsequently collects and documents all relevant information in order to ensure successful claim and change management with subcontractors and customer. The Site Contract Manager works closely with all functions based at site and with selected functions at head quarters to build claim files, prepare and conduct negotiations with relevant third parties (customer, partner, subcontractors and suppliers).   



  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in contract and claim management including at site 
  • Excellent knowledge of customer, consortium subcontractor and supplier T&C's
  • Familiar with schedule/delay analysis, risk management principles and tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently
  • Computer-literate, including preparation of detailed presentations



  • Identify and document all contractual issues related to site activities throughout construction and commissioning on a turnkey combined cycle power plant
  • Support the site and project team with analysis and advice on wide-ranging contractual and commercial issues
  • Work closely with project contract manager to manage risks and opportunities related to equipment delivery, logistics, construction and commissioning
  • Participate in development and implementation of settlements of third-party claims, insurance claims, back-charges, supplier recoveries etc.
  • Track and document potential claims, e.g. related to delay and quality issues, in preparation of eventual disputes
  • Draft and review correspondence with customer, partner and other third parties
  • Report on risks and opportunities and participate in reviews with head quarters
