The client is a multi-national and multi-sector organisation who are seeking an experienced site supervisor in the Teeside area.
The role is a 12 month contract and will involve helping the project manager oversee installation of piping. Therefore experience in construction is necessary. The project is in conjunction with a Spanish company, therefore knowledge of the Spanish language is advantageous but not essential. The role of the site supervisor is for the installation of a fire system in a major industrial facility. the responsibilities are broad and range from managing piping and electrical subcontractors to overseeing safety protocols and site procedure.
Duties and responsiblities
-Report directly to project manager day to day.
-Consistent high quality of work produced in accordance with specification and high standards through regular quality inspections.
-Supervision of day to day operations from subcontractors.
-Ensure material requisitions are issues in time to achieve construction requirements.
-Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials daily.
-Fulfill role of temporary works co-ordinator when required.
-Liaise with project manager and quantity surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, monthly billing, variations and confirmation of instructions.
-High standards of health and safety.
-Maintain quality and environmental control procedures.
-Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and other stakeholders.
-Ensure compliance with government regulation.
-Keep accurate time sheet records.
-Supervise and evaluate staff, complete employee reviews.
-Proven leadership skills within a diverse workforce.
-Highly experienced in piping works (Fire systems). Welding provisions
-Adapt to pressured situations.
-Professional demenour and attitude.
