The Central Operations section of the Learning Center is seeking to hire a highly motivated professional to join its team of instructors. Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the importance of personal accountability and commitment to excellence. The individual must be a team player, with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate must have the ability to promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate values. Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible with the ability to handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to make effective presentations as well as facilitating group activities/training. Candidates must be proficient in the use of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Maximo, Data Splice, and Team Center. Successful candidate must demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment in Substation Operations, a comprehensive understanding of substation procedures, the rule book and environment and safety practices. Experience in Power Plants, Central Engineering, Construction Services, or Facility Maintenance is a plus.

Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant work experience; or an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant work experience; or a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years relevant work experience.


The primary functions of this position are to: conduct training of employees in skills required for performing their jobs, develop and update training curriculum and aids as required, evaluate trainee performance when required for qualifications, and evaluate procedures relative to training. Specific responsibilities include the following: Conduct training in specific area of expertise; evaluate and revise training curriculum including learning objectives, course outlines, instructor guides, student guides, lesson plans, training aids, simulations, performance and written tests, and documentation of procedures; evaluate performance of those being trained, or tested for a position, title change, or advancement in title; evaluate, upon request of client organizations, equipment, materials, and safety and operating procedures relative to training; develop new programs, as required according to Company Operating Procedures; act as a technical consultant for operating departments in assigned specialized areas; document and maintain all required student records; continue self-development in the area of instructional specialization through review of current information and trends and participating in developmental opportunities; market programs to external customers and seek ways to utilize facilities and resources to meet the external customer's needs; demonstrate flexibility to cross train into related courses not specifically in one's experience area as needed, conduct and/or assist in training programs outside primary area of responsibility; candidate may be required to become a certified instructor of First Aid/CPR by the American Red Cross; visits operating organizations to determine training effectiveness and to ensure alignment with new technology, procedures, and requirements; ensure career path training and promotional testing requirements are met; ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees and that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
