A unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Cheshire. Having recently invested in a new MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system to support the company's growth plans, they are now looking to take on an enthusiastic and dynamic Supply Chain Material Planner.

Due to huge success over recent years the company has plans underway to develop their new purpose-built factory. Timing could not be better if you are looking to join a company that has the potential to offer your career continuous growth and development.

Reporting directly to the Production Director, the primary responsibility and focus will be to assist the company in the integration of their new MRP system ensuring that it is effectively used and implemented with the expectation to develop further as part of the supply chain team.

Key objectives and responsibilities include:

*Support the effective implementation of a new MRP system, ensuring the system is used to drive significant improvements in materials management and control.
*Ensure the accuracy of data and recording of information in the MRP system is robustly controlled on an ongoing basis.
*Management of day to day use of the MRP system, and support other staff as required to ensure the system is used correctly.
*Ensure orders are placed with suppliers in a timely manner using MRP, in order to ensure production demands are met.
*Ensure materials are delivered by suppliers in line with production requirements in order to maximise efficiency of production, whilst ensuring we do not carry excess stock
*Manage stock checking in line with company requirements, and ensure any stock discrepancies are thoroughly investigated as required.
*Monitor FLT and Goods In activity and performance. Communicate performance levels clearly to directors. Ensure resource is effectively utilised.
*Communicate supplier and stock holding performance KPI information to directors and other senior managers.
*Work with directors to continuously identify ways to reduce cost and improve production efficiencies.
