Job Title: Systems Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
Location: Hampshire

Job Summary

My client is entering a profound stage of growth as a result of a major contract win and consequently need an experienced Systems Engineer to assist with the workload.

You will be involved in the full lifecycle design of bespoke safety critical Avionics solutions for both Military and Civil aircraft cockpits.


*Develop and implement structured engineering solutions to meet programme requirements across the whole development lifecycle in accordance with customer requirements, legislation, human factors and business needs
*To assist in the conduct of Trade Studies to determine optimum system hardware and software architectures
*To prepare Requirements Specifications for each hardware or software Configuration Item identified within the chosen architecture
*To prepare system test plans to adequately verify and validate system requirements at minimum life cycle cost
*To conduct Validation and Verification Activities as required to secure product acceptance
*To prepare Declarations of Design and Performance against Requirements Specifications
*Ensure that projects remain in line with budget/ time constraints
*Work with customers, suppliers, other engineering disciplines and other internal departments across the whole development process and respond to their requests in a timely and professional manner both on and off site
Personal Requirements

*Degree in a relevant field such as Electronics Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
*Ideally have direct Avionics experience or extensive safety critical background
*Hardware or Software expertise
*Must have full design lifecycle experience from initial concept through to manufacture
*Requirements management experience, ideally using DOORS
*Experience of working with suppliers and corporate customers
*Desirable skills: Aircraft electronic hardware design, knowledge of how different aircraft systems interface with one and other, knowledge of aircraft certifications, experience of mathematical/ graphical modelling, understanding of human factors
