TAR Execution Lead

Reports to Maintenance Planning Manager and is responsible to ensure adequate organization and resources are in place to execute the plant turnarounds safety and efficiently.

This position has responsibility over all aspects of turnaround planning, such as work planning, execution and supervision of the plant turnarounds, including the preparatory work carried out by Production and start up until steady state is reached.

This position requires close coordination with Maintenance and Production personnel, as well as with the Technical Services and HSSE departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Project management of plant turnarounds.
Manage the turnaround schedules and budget.
Set up the turnaround organization; identify and allocate resources to support the planning and execution activities related to each turnaround.
Liaise with all focal points to get the required information for effective plans.
Plan and integrate work scope into logically integrated turnaround plans.
Manage changes in work scope. Resolve prioritization issues in consultation with the appropriate personnel.
Develop and maintain the turnaround HSSE plans.
Ensure production readiness, including:
Development of operating activities for the shutdown and start-up of the facility.
Readiness of operational tools
Work permit administration during the turnaround
Coordination of process isolation, depressurizing, draining, venting and purging.
Coordination of process de-isolation
Ensure maintenance readiness, including:
Review of all turnaround work backlog
Review job plan resource estimates
Material and contract availability
Facilitate turnaround meetings and workshops, before, during and after each event.
Provide regular readiness and progress reports to upper management and the turnaround team members. Prepare performance forecasts and projections.
Coordinate clean-up and demobilization.
Manage lessons learned database. Compile new lessons after each event.
Coordinate with other facilities and Production Planning.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):
Education and Certifications
Relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.

Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Commissioning, Startup, and Operations in Oil, Gas and Chemical facilities
Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with Turnarounds/Outages/Shutdowns.

Skills
Effective organizational skills to be able to manage multiple activities timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, to interact with individuals and groups from different disciplines and levels.
Possess the personality and ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers and the various facility level workers whom are all responsible for ensuring good operations.
Computer knowledge, including Maximo, Primavera or Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Required to be available for stand-by duty on weekends and after hours.
May be required to work longer than normal hours during outage events.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
Must be able to climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.>
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year around weather conditions, ocean environment, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
Required to obtain mandated certification by attending Company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, and LNG firefighting.
