Technical Systems Technologist
Ready Meals Manufacturer
North Yorkshire

My client produces around 150,000 ready meals a day with upwards of 200 recipes. Their range of chilled and ambient ready meals includes British, Chinese, Indian, Italian and Vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free.

They have the following accreditations: BRC (A*), Coeliac Association, Soil Association, Organic Farmers & Growers and Red Tractor. They are also Halal approved.

They currently require a Technical Systems Technologist to take full responsibility for the company's technical systems.

Responsibilities of the Technical Systems Technologist include:

Updating and maintaining the Quality Management & HACCP Systems.
Manage the internal auditing schedule and completion.
Investigate customer complaints.
Implementation and management of the ERP system for Quality Management.
Understand and identify quality system related training requirements (HACCP, Food Hygiene, QMS etc.) at all levels.
Generate technical KPI information, analyse trends, develop and agree action plans to drive improvement

The ideal Technical Systems Technologist will:

Be a Graduate with a degree in Food Science or a related discipline
(If not, you should have HACCP qualifications and experience in a Quality or Technical role within Food Manufacturing)
Be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and have experience of SAP, Sage, ERP, Movex or similar
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Have ambition and the drive to succeed
Have the ability to work well with others
