A leading international engineering consultancy has just been awarded the Owner's Engineer contract for a major new Thermal Power Plant here in the UK. As a result, they are expanding their already well established team.
There are 2 openings within the team so if you have experience within this sector and are looking to be part of one of the biggest projects of it's kind then this could be the move you have been looking for. We are basically looking for one Senior Engineer (10 years+) and someone with around 3-5 years.
Role details are below…
*Work directly with clients, developing contacts, presenting capabilities, preparing proposals and managing studies and projects.
*Lead power plant technical analysis, particularly heat & mass balances and combustion calculations. Knowledge of software for thermal modelling of water/steam cycles would be beneficial (e.g. SteamPro).
*Lead the feasibility assessment of projects, including technical, cost and revenue evaluations.
*Manage internal & external multi-disciplined resources.
*Manage and carry out the development and implementation of capital projects.
*Control budgets and programmes and work to tight deadlines.
3-10 years+ in the Thermal Power Sector, have a good honours degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering and ideally be a Chartered Engineer.
The candidate should also be able to demonstrable capability in the following:
*Self starter, able to manage multiple tasks for a portfolio of projects and with limited supervision.
*Good communication skills, particularly for client presentations and within project teams.
*Good writing skills for proposals, studies, reports and specifications.
*Willingness to travel in UK and abroad involving short stays.
