Traceability Co-ordinator

The role:

To ensure food safety, quality and traceability requirements are met through audit and training whilst complying at all times with company operating requirements, especially in respect of quality, health, safety & ethics, traceability, product integrity, labelling and company, personal & food hygiene rules and legislation.

Main responsibilities:

* Ensure production teams' compliance with the quality system traceability documentation (e.g. Label verification, tick sheets, Foss sheets etc.)
* Check daily label verification against the issues to production
* Raise and support resolution of any relevant issues with production line supervisors and managers
* Check daily boning and kill reports from and escalate any issues with BOA
* Ensure print-out of AA scanned tickets
* Liaise with other sites to share and identify traceability issues and share best practice resolution
* Conduct monthly DNA sampling to an agreed schedule
* Conduct DNA traceability challenges and other internal audits as required and issue regular updates on traceability performance
* Conduct monthly traceability audits to agreed schedule
* Carry out projects to monitor and improve traceability systems as requested
* Investigate, propose pragmatic and support implementation of resolution for problems highlighted internally or by customers
* Conduct weekly taste panel
* Actively participate in learning opportunities to grow own skillset and flexibility
* Support trainee and peer development to ensure the 'next generation' and flexible workforce

Skills required:

* Speaking, writing and understanding good spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)
* Good numeracy skills
* Attentive to detail
* Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn
* Learning and implementing new information quickly
* Strong team collaborator and effective influencer
* Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2; able and willing to gain level 3
* Strong H&S understanding and compliance
* Awareness of ETI Base Code/Sedex and has skillset for delivering ethical compliance
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others' development
