We are currently searching for a number of candidates who are interested in joining a training scholarship to become an electric meter Engineer.
Once you are accredited you will be GUARANTEED a PERMANENT staff role with a major Energy provider!!
If successful in your application you will:
Be put through a fully funded 5 week Scholarship to give you the training to successfully install Electric Meters.
Starting salary of £18-24900 per year
Obtain a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE and Phone
The role is subject to being part funded by you and our client. With this opportunity you will go through a leading Training Academy which specilises in SMART Metering and is fully accredited and recognised training provider.
Course is a 5 weeks managed learning program, which consist of
2 weeks and 2 day Academy based training, both practical and theory
2 weeks onsite mentoring/shadowing an engineer
3 days Academy based assessment
On completion of the training, you will continue with the client and complete their induction and become a qualified engineer and start your full time employment as a permanent member of staff!
The Job Role
As an Electric Meter Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
Installing and exchanging electric meters in a variety of premises issued via hand held devices.
Complete prescribed testing in line with industry standards and codes of practice (MOCOPA)
Collect and deposit electric meters from the designated storage facility
Complete all relevant associated administrative work
Other duties may be undertaken as and when required, in particular when new business is gained
Achieve and exceed work performance targets and adhere to health and safety procedures, industry standards and codes of practice
