We are currently searching for a number of candidates who are interested in joining a training program to become an electric smart meter Engineer.
We are currently working exclusively with a leading energy provider who install electric Meters across the UK.
Once you are accredited you will be GUARANTEED a role with a major Energy provider!!
If successful in your application you will:
*Be put through a funded 5 week training program to give you the qualification to successfully install Electric Meters.
*Starting salary of £21,000- £22,000
*Obtain a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE and Phone
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading top 6 Gas and Electricity Supplier, who are looking to initially expand on their current Electrical Meter Installation team. This fantastic opportunity requires no previous experience, as full training will be provided.
With the roll out of smart meters, our team of Meter Engineers are instrumental in delivering service levels, whilst complying with technical, safety and regulatory requirements. We are currently looking to add New Electric Meter Installers to our expanding Technical team, recruiting across the South East.
The training will be funded by our client. With this opportunity you will go through a leading Training Academy which specializes in SMART Metering and is fully accredited and recognized training provider by -
Logic Certification: An Awarding Organisation and a Certification Body overseeing the competence assessment of individuals working in the industry
The National Skills Academy for Power sits at the heart of the Power Sector, driving excellence in skills. Part of the EU Skills group.
Course is a 5 weeks managed learning program, which consist of
2 weeks and 2 day Academy based training, both practical and theory (away from home)
2 weeks onsite mentoring/shadowing an engineer
3 days Academy based assessment (away from home)
On completion of the training, you will continue with the client and complete their induction and become a qualified engineer and start your full time employment!
The Job Role -
As an Electric Meter Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
Installing and exchanging electric meters in a variety of premises issued via hand held devices.
Complete prescribed testing in line with industry standards and codes of practice (MOCOPA)
Collect and deposit electric meters from the designated storage facility
Complete all relevant associated administrative work
Other duties may be undertaken as and when required, in particular when new business is gained
Achieve and exceed work performance targets and adhere to health and safety procedures, industry standards and codes of practice
