Job Title: Project Engineer or Project Manager - Transportation

Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 per year

Location: Phoenix or Tucson, Remote opportunities available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:

  • Design and analyze freeways, highways, interchanges, roadways, and shared-use trails
  • Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects
  • Assist project managers in client relations, stakeholder management, and coordination of sub-consultants
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure project success
  • Take responsibility for projects from beginning to end

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Preferably, experience and relationships with transportation agencies
  • Familiarity with Bentley Open Roads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other transportation engineering software
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with clients and multidisciplinary team members
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate, ability to take the Professional Engineering Exam within a year, or Professional Engineer (PE)
  • At least three (3) years of experience in roadway/highway and urban street design
  • Familiarity with Microstation, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
  • Experience with municipalities and/or Departments of Transportation
  • Hydraulics and traffic experience is a plus
