The Engineering organization is made up of approximately 50 people, and it is expected that the selected candidate will evolve this team. Success in this role will depend upon managing product development and delivery (i.e. hitting product release milestones, at agreed upon quality levels); achieving high levels of customer satisfaction with the products; and introducing processes and methodologies which impact development team performance, enable scaling and deliver product to market faster.

Initially, this role will have a North American focus. This position will address the following priorities:

*Product Development Management
*Introducing new product development processes such as Agile, product rationalization/integration from M&A activities, as well as building an R&D capability to pilot/explore new technologies)
*Organizational Development
*Relationship building and Communication
*Resource Management - develop and manage strategic and tactical plans including expense, capital, and resource budgets


Candidate Qualification

*We will seek executive talent from enterprise software (including analytics) companies. Past exposure to SaaS and .Net and Java environments is a requirement. Experience transitioning an application from on-premise to SaaS would be particularly helpful. Past exposure to managing diverse development teams (FTEs, outsourcing, off-shore, crowdsourcing, etc.) is essential.

*This executive will have experience driving and growing technology organizations that are a minimum of 25 people. Experience with contractor and off-shore teams is a plus. Experience working with remote and geographically dispersed team - including those from other countries - is a plus.

*He/she must be familiar with tech stack including .NET, Java, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.

*10 years of demonstrated success in roles involving significant management responsibility for the development of a complex business applications software offering.

* At least 7 years of which should include the entire life cycle from specification through development, product design, execution of working prototypes, beta testing, QA, product release, and sustaining engineering. He/she will have been in a position that necessitated interaction with senior decision makers within customer accounts.

* Must have had a SaaS operations team which reported up through him/her. Ability to identify new resource models (near shore, off-shore, development partner, etc.) would be good. Experience implementing more automation (e.g. Q/A testing) a plus.
