Responsible for leading all of the system level design activities for my client's products. This position will lead the System Design team and provide the technical leadership and direction for my client's system.
*Provide Systems Engineering leadership in the process of insuring our product designs meet or exceed the system performance requirements.
*Monitor and influence where possible the movement in standards that affect our system design.
*Serve as liaison across other engineering departments and Marketing providing the technical coordination and insure system performance.
*Provide leadership to the testing organization including software, firmware, and alpha testing.
*Provide leadership to the product performance team
*Manage and oversee the current processes employed in the systems analysis and design and provide technical evaluation and guidance to all activities in these areas.
*Lead the System Design department in product planning in coordination with Product Marketing, Advanced Systems Research and Development and Product Development groups.
*Perform normal administrative and personnel duties including budgets and personnel performance management.
*Perform other tasks as required by the Vice President of Engineering.
*Minimum of a BSEE or BS Computer Science
*Minimum 15 years of engineering experience with 5 years management experience in a high-level technology environment..
*Proven leadership skills, including the stature and self-confidence associated with direct and indirect leadership, and the ability to associate with all levels in the organization.
*Electric, gas and water utility experience.
*Experience with Smart Grid and Gas and Water AMI systems.
*Strong focus on complex system design and communication systems.
