Qualifications/competencies: Engineering degree with minimum of 5 years of related experience.Knowledge of implementation of API RP 752, 753 & 756.Knowledge and interpretation of QRA results.Previous experience conducting facility siting studies. Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship (Exception will be made for TN visas) Role & Responsibilities: Perform building siting evaluations following API RP 752, 753 & 756.Develop and implement of building management procedures for the site.Develop and maintain a building register for the facility that includes all permanent buildings, portable structures and tents.Participate in PSSR (pre-start up safety review) to ensure all design and installation requirements are met before buildings are occupied and used.Conduct regular audits/inspections and develop corrective action plans as needed. - Support MOC process to ensure risks are properly identified and managed for PHAs and PSSRs are adequate.
Job Description: Primary responsibility of the position is to act as a project engineer and project support engineer for capital projects to ensure proper measurement design and mechanical design.Provide technical expertise in measurement equipment (Ultrasonic meters, Coriolis meters, Orifice meters, Gas Chromatograph, fuel meters, H2O Analyzer, H2S Analyzer, O2 Analyzer, CO2 Analyzer and Hydro Carbon Dew point Analyzer) with capital project execution with support on installation, diagnostic, configuration and troubleshooting of said equipment.The engineer frequently coordinates with other internal departments including; within our own MR&C engineering, pipeline engineering, storage and compression engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, Project Controls, Customer Account Managers, Customer Deliverability, Operational Technology, Gas Control and many others.As a project engineer, the individual's responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: 50% Project scoping, design engineering and design review/support30% Equipment/material procurement and Construction coordination/support10% Equipment specification and development of department standards10% Field/O&M technical support Basic Skills/Requirements: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Technical writing experience in writing engineering specificationsAbility to work on a team with diverse experiences and responsibilitiesProject Engineering ExperienceAbility to access, diagnose, and close gaps in process and projects (problem solver) Skills: The following skills and experience will set you apart from others: Familiarity with Michigan Gas Safety Code Masters or other advanced degree, ideally in a technical or scientific field of study Energy industry background that includes natural gas chromatography and metering equipment Knowledge gas measurement equipment and electronic flow measurementKnowledge of codes such as AGA, API, PHMSA, and gas measurement codesProfessional Engineering (PE) licenseComputer software and programs: microsoft office suite, SAP, Arriba, Measurement software Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field - Mechanical preferred.
