The day-to-day:

  • Managing ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients
  • Delivering our current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards, and within time constraints and cost budgets
  • Working in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendency and site surveillance
  • Delegating and supervising the work of junior engineers, and
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • 5 to 8+ years' industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment
  • Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills
  • Capacity to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.)
  • Proficiency with 12D and Civil 3D (desirable but not essential), and
  • Drainage software experience knowledge preferred
