Responsibilities
My client is looking to grow out their onshore wind development team across the UK. Office locations include Edinburgh and London, however due to the scale and of projects across the UK, remote working is on offer.With total generation of c. 2.8GW installed capacity across 6 countries, my client has a solid pipeline with scope for more, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career in an exciting time for the renewable industry as a whole.The day to day will follow the Onshore Wind Project Development sphere, with a focus towards Repowering and Life Extension of existing onshore projects.Key responsibilities: Lead negotiations with landlords and agents to secure Option Agreements to repower wind farms.Lead the extension of planning consents and coordinate EIA processes and consultancy teams to allow for operational lifetime extensions for our UK wind farms.Work with the team in exploring and delivering new growth opportunities which may include new technologies.Manage the assessment of technical feasibility for repowering. The Candidate: Strong communication skillsTechnical knowledge of UK Planning and EIA systemsAbility to deliver land agreements, including option and lease agreementsBackground in Wind preferable but not a requirement.
Contract management for all the legal matters : Draft and review the contact, provide legal advise to the project managers, identify the risk and evaluate the contract Collaborate with APAC team Japanese native or N1 as this job requires to have skill to read/check contratcs in Japanese, English is not a must but has to be able to communicate with APAC manager

If you are ambitious and want to grow within a company my client will want to hear from you!Role:· Manage all grid-related elements for the entire project from development through to installation and commissioning of assets.· Advise on the relevant legislation and regulations that would impact the project’s grid connection strategy and connection to the onshore network.· Participate in consultations with BEIS, Ofgem, NGESO and other stakeholders in the framework of the on-going work related to the OTNR.· Analyse potential connection options, associated costs, potential impacts on the programme and associated risks.· Manage the relationship with the key players of the interconnection process and lead application calls with NGESO and TOs.· Monitor associated grid costs and charges and input to the financial modelling of the project.· Monitor and manage grid connection risks in relation to changes in the design, consenting, and project programme. Requirements:· Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering or related discipline.· Previous experience at a high level in a similar role.· In-depth knowledge of the offshore wind energy industry and UK transmission system.· Experience of development and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.· Established relationships with ESO & TO is highly desirable· Willingness to travel on a regular basis, especially within the UK.
