Job Purpose / Overview
Working in the Cost Discipline of Integrated Project Controls (IPC), under the direction and leadership of the IPC Cost & Forecasting Manager, to take responsibility for all aspects of Cost within either one of the Programme Controls Teams or the Central Controls Team within the HPC Project. To help lead the establishment, development, maintenance of timely, accurate cost data, and reports, including forecasts, performance analysis, earned value, cash flows, and monthly reports on the Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP). To support the client Energy in minimising the Estimate At Completion (EAC) for the Programme in accordance with best value.
It is the overarching objective of the Integrated Project Controls (IPC) Function to act as a centre of excellence: the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the HPC Project.

Location: Surry, VAHours: 4 days onsiite Pay: Per DiemRequired Skills: 1) Experience with nuclear power plant design, including the Electrical Power Distribution System and or the Instrumentation and Control Systems at the station2) Experience with development of maintenance strategies and corrective action plans, and supporting development of design change documentation3) Experience with working in a broad range of Electrical Power and I&C issues both on the component and system level. Overview: The candidate will fill a position as an Electrical Project Engineer for the Surry Digital I&C Program. The primary area of focus will evaluating the electrical supply and distribution changes as a result of a large-scale analog to digital controls and protection system conversion. Specific duties include monitoring and discussion of electrical project topics, preparation of engineering technical evaluations, development of maintenance strategies and corrective action plans, supporting development of design change documentation, review of engineering supplier design change documentation, and preparation and/or review of system requirements specifications from an electrical power perspective. The candidate will work in a broad range of digital systems modifications providing “go-to” support for electrical power expertise on the project team. Candidates will be expected to have or gain familiarity with Surry’s nuclear power plant design, including the Electrical Distribution System and or the Instrumentation and Control Systems at the station.Preferred Years of Experiene: 5+ years of directly-related electrical power design engineering experience in a power generating station, nuclear background strongly preferred15+ years of industry experience, with nuclear experience preferredEducation: • Possess a 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent extensive electrical engineering field experience.• Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license can be used in lieu of a 4-year degree

Job Duties Supervise daily permit office operations to ensure compliance with established processes and standards.Foster and maintain relationships with construction, safety, and technical teams, delivering crucial performance data.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of innovative procedures and standards.Facilitate effective communication with senior management.Ensure the competency of permit acceptors and oversee training programs.Generate audit reports, identify non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.Review and adjust standards, policies, and procedures as necessary. Requirements:- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.- IOSH Managing Safely in Construction.- Proficient in managing diverse construction projects and coordinating contractors.
