Job Title: Service Technician Start date: ASAP Location: Ravensworth and Hunter Valley NSW region Hourly rate: $47-$50 Roster: 5&2 (Local candidates) Hours: 7.6 per day (38 hour week) Overtime: Weekdays (Monday to Friday) Time and one half (1.5) for the first three (3) hours; and; Double time (2.0) thereafter. Job Description: The M&R EI&C designer is responsible for developing the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) drawings used to complete infrastructure improvement projects involving the installation or modification of electrical systems, communications systems and process measurement devices at natural gas regulation and associated pipeline facilities. The designer also assists in developing support detail and information documents for various engineering activities and projects as well as supporting material procurement and development of design standards.Skills: Design technicians must have advanced computer and applications knowledge.Communication skills are important to this role.Clear and precise drawings are needed to effectively convey the designs to the operational and construction groups.The designs this person provide need to be safe, ergonomic, and practical.Drafting experience utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD, or similar. Education: An associate degree in the requisite scientific or technical field.Significant years of relevant design experience may be considered in leu of a technical degree.
Electrical Testing & Commissioning Specialist is responsible for directing commissioning and testing activities in the field. This position is responsible for providing commissioning and testing solutions. Prepare and recommend testing & commissioning solutions to the Project Manager or client. Delivers solutions to Project Manager or Senior Engineer to address future client needs and provide cost analysis on testing solutions. Ensures the performance of all field testing on substation equipment is completed accurately and safely. Performs demonstration tests, as required, which are a series of functional tests designed to simulate real world conditions to ensure proper operation of yard equipment. Develops and executes substation equipment test procedures. Provide technical instruction, mentoring, guidance with regard to substation systems and electrical power systems to field testing technicians. Develop testing & commissioning departmental and project requirements. Ensure compliance of testing QA/QC process. Regularly meet and correspond with clients and outside personnel with responsibility to act independently on technical matters related to testing & commissioning.
