The Sr. Project Developer will collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels of the organization to guide development strategies that will have the greatest customer impact and highest commercial value.The Sr. Project Developer will develop projects with existing and/or new customers/partners, perform project-level development to NTP, manage project schedules and budgets, review the target IRR with the Finance team to ensure goals are being met, guide projects through the interconnection process, and ensure development milestones are met. They will partner with Legal to ensure projects obtain site control and have a clear title review, collaborate with development partners and/or act individually to obtain special use permits and all other non-ministerial permits, and develop a building permit matrix with the PM team. They will ensure survey work is completed and necessary permits, real estate, and grid interconnection agreements are secured, work closely with account managers to ensure smooth collaboration and development of parcels with real estate owners, work collaboratively with the Construction teams and assist in developing SOW and EPC contracts, and identify and suggest improvements to business processes and best practices.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field, preferred with an MBA and/or advanced cost accounting experience. They should have 6+ years of Community Solar Development experience, including distributed energy projects with a focus on in-front-of-the-meter solar projects in New York. They should also have a demonstrated success in conceptualizing and developing renewable energy solutions, an understanding of all aspects of solar power development, including sitting, interconnection, permitting, construction, and financing, as well as utility/energy/grid transformation. Additionally, they should have direct experience in distribution-grid level project development, obtaining site control, acquiring interconnection services agreements, and working with Procurement to manage equipment supply chains for hitting COD goals.The Sr. Project Developer will have experience developing and delivering ISO-level battery energy storage systems, experience in ERCOT, MISO, and SPP in TX strongly preferred, and experience using enterprise software like Salesforce, Procore, and Netsuite and participating with the Software Development team to capture project information for management. The Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical SME) will be responsible for the electrical engineering scope of solar PV and battery storage projects in late-stage development, construction and operation. Responsibilities include electrical design review, support of project engineers in terms of electrical engineering matters, create technical specifications for owner furnished equipment, standardization of electrical designs and scope of work, electrical test report review, field quality control and field punch list development. The Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical SME) will join a project execution team and serve as the primary resource to the project engineers for all electrical engineering matters of assigned projects and process improvement tasks. Excellent communication, task management and planning skills are needed, in addition to technical breadth. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in the design, engineering and analysis of PV and BESS projects ranging from 1 to 500 MW as well as an in-depth understanding of the architectures and components to build such systems. The Project Construction Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the pre-planning and execution for the client's renewables and power portfolio. In addition to project-supporting tasks, the position will support continuous improvement initiatives such as documenting and improving processes and procedures, market industry knowledge. Contributing to and supporting all areas of this company's Technical Team, focusing on projects in early development and pre-construction phases and including ad hoc support to projects in construction.Duties and Responsibilities- Establishing and managing technical requirements in contractual documents for Engineering, Project Management and Construction (EPC) engagements- Support the Construction team in EPC selection including contract negotiation- Assist the Project Management in the construction of a project in a timely manner by providing necessary engineering support- Complete design and submittal reviews and approvals as necessary for projects in development and construction- Manage Owner's Engineering as assigned as necessary for Construction team support- Conduct site visits as necessary to support Construction team progress and milestone verification with lending parties and 3rd party independent engineers- Support the engagement of Independent Engineering firms selected for 3rd party financing of projects for execution- Provide technical diligence support for Project Finance- Support the business with critical lessons learned to ensure project budgets and expected returns are aligned with current market expectations- Develop task management tools to prioritize incoming technical requests from internal teams and provide regular deliverable updates- Represent your specialty area at relevant development meetings and delivery meetings - Represent your specialty during relevant third-party stakeholder meetings and events as requiredWho we're looking forKnowledge- Codes and Regulations knowledge for solar project construction- Engineering experience in utility scale PV plants. - Project Financing Structures and Diligence Requirements- Knowledge of Industry main stakeholders (TAs, investors, EPCs, Third Parties lab...)- Knowledge of current PV technology on the market and trends of major components and supporting balance of systems- Ability to identify key information in project site technical documents- Knowledge in EPC cost estimation based on design methodologyQualifications - Bachelor's degree, ideally Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university required.
