At Spencer Ogden we understand the importance of giving back to the community. We are partnered with Reach Out, a mentoring charity working with young people in disadvantaged communities. We want to make a positive impact on people’s lives through charity work.
On Friday, we hosted a group of 10 local school pupils in the office for a ‘Workplace Experience’ morning. A mixture of SO employees from across the business volunteered their time to run the activities. The morning was designed to help raise the aspirations of the pupils and help them grow in character.
Pupils were introduced to SO and what we do, they were given an office tour and the opportunity to ask questions. After the introduction they were given a task to re-design the office and create the office of the future. Pupils presented their ideas, giving reasons to the rest of the group. We had a variety of ideas ranging from a coffee robot and a swimming pool to Gordon Ramsey being our very own company chef.
