Three years ago, we forged a partnership with Seven Clean Seas. For every placement we make at Spencer Ogden, Seven Clean Seas remove 1kg of plastic from our oceans. In total, we've eliminated 11,803kg of plastic pollution from our waters.

The global energy transition highlights the importance of having a positive impact on the environment in which we live and work. As a business who are creating careers to power a sustainable future, we are extremely cognisant of this.

Three years ago, we forged a partnership with Seven Clean Seas. For every placement we make at Spencer Ogden, Seven Clean Seas remove 1kg of plastic from our oceans. In total, we've eliminated 11,803kg of plastic pollution from our waters.

Seven Clean Seas are on a mission to remove 10,000,000kg of plastic from our oceans by 2025, and we're dedicated to contributing to this. It's a daunting task, especially when confronted with the sobering reality that 11 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans every year.

Recently, twenty of our colleagues joined Seven Clean Seas on a project tour of Batam Island. They witnessed first-hand the staggering impact of plastic pollution on the local community. From the daily challenges faced, to the innovative solutions implemented by Seven Clean Seas, our team gained invaluable insights.

From the strategic installation of river barriers to staunch the flow of plastic waste into the ocean, to initiatives like local litter picks, Seven Clean Seas is at the forefront of the battle against marine pollution. The collected rubbish undergoes meticulous processing at their recycling centre, contributing to a sustainable, circular economy.

We're excited to unveil a video showcasing the impactful initiatives our team engaged in on Batam Island. Watch the video below to learn more about their experience, the vital work of Seven Clean Seas, and the urgent need to address plastic pollution for the sake of our environment and communities.
