Lighting the Way: Our Partnership with Light Up the World

At Spencer Ogden, we know the energy transition is powered by people. That’s why we’re excited to share the launch of our new partnership with Light Up the World (LUTW)- and a special video that captures their inspiring work in action. 

A Partnership with Purpose 

LUTW is a Canadian charity that has spent nearly three decades delivering off-grid solar power and internet access to some of the most remote communities in Peru. By replacing polluting kerosene lamps and diesel generators with clean energy, LUTW not only reduces carbon emissions but also improves health, education, and economic opportunity for families that previously lived without electricity. 

Together with LUTW, our goal is to expand this impact- supporting projects that power homes, schools, and medical posts while bridging the digital divide through satellite connectivity. This partnership isn’t just about funding; it’s about working side by side to deliver lasting change where it’s needed most.

To celebrate the start of our partnership, we’ve interviewed Grady Semmens, Board Member and Aaron Cohen, Executive Director from LUTW, showcasing their mission, the communities they serve, and the impact of bringing light to places where it’s never existed before.

Looking Ahead 

This partnership is only the beginning. With more than 50 communities in one Peruvian river valley alone still waiting for access to clean energy, the opportunity to make an impact is vast. Together, Spencer Ogden and LUTW will continue to light the way- delivering sustainable energy solutions that change lives.
