Spencer Ogden, a global recruitment specialist in sustainability, natural resources and infrastructure, today announces that Geoff Lloyd has stepped down from his role as Chair after five years of dedicated service.
Geoff’s tenure has seen the business navigate significant moments, including the challenges of the Covid-19 period and a period of rapid international expansion. His calm, strategic leadership has helped shape Spencer Ogden’s growth trajectory and position the business for continued success.

In a personal statement, Geoff reflected on his time with the company:
“It’s been a journey marked with both high points and challenges. Through it all, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated and resilient team who continue to give their all in a demanding market. The business now requires a level of Chair time that, at this stage of my career, I’m unable to commit to. I step aside with a heavy heart, but also with deep pride in what we’ve built together.”
Following Geoff’s departure, Spencer Ogden is pleased to welcome Jason Allen as the new Chair. Jason is an accomplished Chair, CEO, and Non-Executive Director with decades of international experience leading private equity-backed and high-growth organisations across tech-enabled people services, workforce solutions, and digital transformation.
In addition, Alex Smith has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director. A senior business leader and board advisor with over 30 years of experience. He will chair Spencer Ogden’s Audit & Risk Committee and will work closely with the executive team on strategic planning and execution.
These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for Spencer Ogden as the business sharpens its focus on long-term value creation and sustainable growth.
