Employee performance management and professional development are also part of the job scope.Job Responsibilities Participate in strategic and long-term planning for the assigned engineering departments and develop goals and objectives aligned with the client's strategy.Lead the development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for new product innovation and/or development. Evaluate the progress of new product development (NPD) projects.Authorize the spending of development initiatives to support the budget for assigned areas.Work on complex issues that require in-depth knowledge of the company, leading the engineering team through technical problem-solving for new product innovation and/or development projects.Regularly interact with executives and major customers.Direct the work of groups of employees through managers.Perform other duties as assigned.
