Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in renewable energy permitting or 8-10+ years in a similar industry with comparable responsibilities.Strong understanding of federal and state environmental laws and regulations (e.g., ESA, NEPA/CEQA, FEMA, CWA, Porter Cologne, ORES 94-c).Established relationships with regulatory agencies and positive reputation with key resource agency regulators.Extensive knowledge of environmental impact assessment and management within the California energy sector, with additional familiarity in New York and Texas being a plus.Self-directed and detail-oriented with excellent leadership and teamwork skills.Strong attention to detail in written and verbal communication.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment with competing deadlines and adapt quickly to internal processes.Proficiency in web-based mapping platforms and interpreting environmental spatial data.Preferably a resident of California, particularly Southern California, with substantial experience in the energy sector. Experience in Texas and New York is also desirable.Working knowledge of USFWS Wind Energy Guidelines, Eagle Conservation Plan Guidance, Section 10 HCPs, and USACE Individual Permits is preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.Advanced degree in biological science, natural resources, environmental policy, or environmental law is preferred.
