Responsibilites:
Maintain compliance with all applicable EHS regulations, client EHS Standards, and other requirements adopted by the business.
Implement Annual Work Plans to achieve safety objectives and goals, with the approval of US SBU T&D EHS Manager.
Active involvement in the Annual Program of Internal and External client EHS Audits, Assessments and Action. Plan follow up.
Ensure hierarchy of controls in General Hazard Assessment and Risk Analysis, Job Hazard Analysis and Job Safety Analysis. Proactive participation in the Incident Management Program per client EHS Standards/OSHA. With a focus of reporting and investigating Non-Injury SIP events using TapRoot Methodology.
Develop and deliver Health and Safety Orientation and training programs for client Indiana employees.
Oversee the implementation of the Proactive Safety Program. Visit job sites and facilities to conduct Safety Walks, Work Activity Observations, Safety Inspections, and follow up in due time and form.
Active participation in cross functional activities with client Ohio (T&D) EHS Team. Provide leadership and technical expertise for Health and Safety programs for client and Contractor Employees with a primary focus in the field. Health and Safety assignments / Special Projects.

Under the direction of the Environmental Compliance Supervisor, this position will primarily engage in providing environmental compliance support to the EHS, construction and operations teams during the late-stage development and construction phase of renewable assets portfolio in California and other states as projects are constructed.This role is a full-time and hybrid position, working remotely (from home) and will be based out of Southern California (Kern County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County areas preferred) making as needed day trips to the projects to support compliance activities. My client, a clean energy company, is currently seeking an innovative and motivated leader with at least 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar construction management.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: My client seeks an innovative and motivated individual who will have responsibilities during the construction process. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborates with the safety department to ensure all safety goals are the highest priority. Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project in line with the company's expectations. Creates a culture of continuous improvement. Prepare and manage the project execution plan, coordinate and host project kick-off meetings, and prepare and manage effective project closeout. Work with the Commercial Manager to ensure all contracts (prime and sub-contracts) are effectively managed, including change orders and documentation of variances. Onsite owner's representative; monitoring utility-scale solar construction completed by 3rd party EPC Contractors. Cultivate positive working relationships with 3rd party EPC Contractors. Manage the construction of utility-scale solar projects to the 3rd party EPC contract and permit requirements, including schedule, budget, scope of work, and deliverables. Complete daily safety walks and submit a daily safety walk report to the head of internal safety programs. Manage internal safety goals with 3rd party EPC Contractors. Attend internal and external meetings as necessary (e.g., daily, weekly). Track project progress against the schedule and manage schedule remediation plans. Discuss daily objectives with 3rd party EPC Contractor and promptly report back perceived risks and other issues/observations. Verify and sign-off on various construction milestones (civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical) and update internal tracking software. Ensure thorough and quality work by verifying items against scopes of work and design plans to minimize punch lists and deliver the best-in-class assets. Verify 3rd party EPC Contractors adhere to QA/QC plans. Work with in-house engineering to provide information and attend job walks to facilitate reports from 3rd party independent engineers. Collect 3rd party EPC deliverables and either upload them to an internal data room or send them to the appropriate team member for sign-off (e.g., test reports, progress reports, etc.). Review draft invoices with 3rd party EPC Contractor and sign off on work completed. First line of defense against proposed change orders; escalating to the internal Project Manager as necessary. Proactively communicate and manage an ongoing punch list with 3rd party EPC Contractor, managing the final punch list from Mechanical Completion to completion. Drive to complete thorough work; follow up with others to ensure that commitments have been fulfilled.Minimum Qualifications:OSHA 30 Certified. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. 5 years of onsite utility-scale solar construction management. Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, means, and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
