Key Responsibilities (in a nutshell):

  • Develop comprehensive project plans for wind energy projects, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Identify suitable project sites through feasibility studies, considering factors such as wind resource assessment, environmental impact, and regulatory considerations.
  • Navigate and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to wind energy projects.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of permit applications, environmental impact assessments, and other required documentation
  • Lead efforts to acquire land for wind project development, negotiating lease agreements with landowners and addressing legal and contractual aspects.
  • Conduct financial assessments, including cost-benefit analysis and return on investment calculations, to determine project viability.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities etc.

Requirements / skills:

  • At least 5 years experience in wind energy project development
  • Strong understanding of wind energy technology, grid connection, and financial modelling.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering onshore wind projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • To be based in Seoul, South Korea, and willing to travel.
