Civil Engineer (Site / Section Lead)


We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and manage construction activities for large-scale projects. This role involves planning, engineering control, and supervision of both internal and contracted teams. The ideal candidate will ensure that all civil works adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Oversee and manage daily construction activities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Lead technical aspects from design review to site execution, solving complex on-site engineering challenges.

Ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality control, and safety regulations.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and on-site staff.

Manage resource planning, materials procurement, and logistics, ensuring efficient workflow.

Drive quality assurance through the development and execution of inspection and test plans (ITPs) and checklists.


Experience & Qualifications:


Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar civil engineering role, progressing from Site Engineer to Senior Engineer or Section Engineer.

Extensive experience in multidisciplinary projects, including civil, building services, and electrical/mechanical disciplines.

Strong knowledge of modern construction methods and UK specifications (e.g., SHW).

HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.

CSCS Card and other relevant safety certifications (e.g., Working at Height, First Aid, etc.).

Proficiency with IT tools and software for project management.
