Commissioning Manager, Data Centres

Location: Singapore

Travel: Approximately 20–25% across APAC

Spencer Ogden is representing a leading regional data centre platform in the search for an experienced **Engineering Commissioning Manager** to support the delivery of mission-critical facilities across Asia Pacific.

This is an opportunity to join an established owner's engineering team responsible for ensuring new data centre developments are commissioned safely, efficiently and to the highest operational standards. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the commissioning lifecycle, working closely with design, construction and operations teams to deliver highly resilient mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across multiple data centre projects throughout APAC.
• Manage commissioning consultants and coordinate all commissioning activities from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through to Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final operational handover.
• Review commissioning plans, scripts and testing procedures to ensure systems perform in accordance with design intent.
• Work closely with internal engineering, development and operations teams to drive commissioning quality, safety and best practice.
• Review mechanical and electrical systems including cooling, power distribution, UPS, generators, BMS and associated control systems.
• Identify commissioning risks, design deficiencies and installation issues before facility go-live.
• Oversee functional performance testing and failure mode testing for critical infrastructure.
• Review commissioning documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives through project lessons learnt.
• Travel regionally to support commissioning activities across multiple project locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimally 8 years of professional experience, with 2 years of direct commissioning experience within mission-critical data centre environments.
• Experience working for a data centre owner, operator, engineering consultancy or specialist commissioning consultancy.
• Strong understanding of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure including cooling systems, chilled water plants, UPS, generators, power distribution and building management systems.
• Experience managing or witnessing FAT, SAT, IST and integrated commissioning activities.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, technical specifications and commissioning documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable travelling regionally
