Working Hours: 48 hours per week

The Opportunity


Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Construction Piping Supervisor to join a major construction project in Wesseling, Germany. Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate piping and mechanical contractor activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required project standards.


Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate piping and mechanical contractors across site activities.

Coordinate construction works with other disciplines and contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements and risk assessments.

Monitor contractor performance, competencies, staffing and work processes.

Ensure piping and mechanical works comply with relevant German codes, standards and project requirements.

Promote a strong HSSE culture and support the site Permit to Work (PTW) system.

Conduct site inspections, maintain daily construction records and attend contractor meetings.

Identify and address non-compliance and ensure construction activities are delivered to the required quality and safety standards.

About You

10+ years' experience in piping and mechanical construction.

Minimum 4 years' supervisory experience within a site construction environment.

Strong knowledge of German piping and mechanical industry standards, codes and specifications.

Able to confidently interpret engineering drawings and supervise contractor activities.

Time-served apprenticeship or national qualification in piping/mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.

Computer literate, including Microsoft Office.

Working knowledge of written and spoken German, with an understanding of spoken English.
