Pay Rate: £65,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Manager to oversee the operations of our data centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the data centre, managing a team of technicians, and implementing best practices to ensure the security and reliability of our data centre operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the data centre
  • Lead a team of technicians and provide guidance and support
  • Implement and maintain data centre policies and procedures
  • Ensure the security and reliability of data centre operations
  • Monitor and report on data centre performance and efficiency
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the data centre

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data centre management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of data centre operations and best practices
  • Experience with data centre security and compliance standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CDCP, CDCS) would be an advantage
