This opportunity would suit an accomplished strategic account professional with a strong track record of selling complex technical solutions into colocation providers, hyperscalers, large enterprise operators or other major data centre customers.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and continuously developing strategic commercial account plans

  • Identifying and securing profitable new business within assigned accounts

  • Building relationships across executive, commercial, engineering, operational and procurement functions

  • Understanding each customer’s business strategy, buying process, technical requirements and future investment plans

  • Positioning differentiated technical, commercial and service-based value propositions

  • Leading the commercial response to tenders, frameworks and major capital projects

  • Coordinating engineering, bid management, product, project and service teams

  • Negotiating commercial agreements and securing purchase orders

  • Maintaining accurate oversight of pipeline, forecast, order intake, revenue and margin

  • Ensuring a structured handover into project delivery and post-order support

  • Acting as the internal voice of the customer across a complex international organisation

  • Supporting account-based marketing and senior-level customer engagement initiatives

The Candidate

You will already have a strong reputation within the data centre market and a demonstrable record of developing major customer relationships and converting complex opportunities.

The successful candidate is likely to bring:

  • Significant commercial experience within the data centre industry

  • A proven track record of selling directly to major data centre operators

  • Experience managing complex strategic, regional or global accounts

  • Strong new-business development capability

  • Evidence of delivering against revenue, order, pipeline and profitability targets

  • Experience leading major tenders, framework agreements and complex bid processes

  • Strong relationships across operators, consultants, contractors and industry stakeholders

  • The credibility to engage with senior customer leaders and technical decision-makers

  • A sound understanding of data centre design, operations and critical infrastructure

  • Experience working across engineering, product, sales, project and service functions

  • Strong commercial judgement, influencing skills and organisational awareness

  • The ability to lead within a matrix environment without relying on direct authority
