Lead the Delivery of Mission-Critical Data Centre Design Across Europe
An established and rapidly growing international data centre developer and operator is looking for an experienced Design Manager to join its expanding team in Paris.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering hyperscale and colocation data centre developments across Europe, working on some of the industry's most technically demanding projects. You'll manage multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to construction, ensuring innovative, sustainable and efficient design solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

The Role
As Design Manager, you'll take ownership of the full design management process across multiple data centre developments, coordinating internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors throughout every project stage.
Working closely with development, engineering, construction and commercial teams, you'll ensure designs meet programme, cost, quality and operational requirements while supporting the delivery of world-class digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multidisciplinary design teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Manage external consultants including MEP, CSA, structural, architectural and specialist engineering disciplines.
Coordinate design reviews and ensure technical compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Drive value engineering, innovation and design optimisation across projects.
Manage design programmes, deliverables and consultant performance.
Support procurement activities through technical reviews and tender evaluations.
Work closely with construction teams to resolve design issues during delivery.
Ensure projects achieve sustainability, resilience and operational performance objectives.
Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.
Support the continuous improvement of design standards, processes and digital engineering tools.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural or Building Services Engineering.
Experience as a Design Manager, Senior Design Manager, Engineering Manager or Technical Project Manager within the data centre, mission critical, hyperscale, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing or high-tech industrial sectors.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
Strong understanding of MEP, CSA and architectural coordination.
Experience working through RIBA, French or equivalent European project stages.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Commercial awareness and experience managing consultant appointments.
Fluent English is essential; French is highly advantageous.
Desirable Experience
BIM coordination and digital engineering environments.
Sustainability, energy efficiency and low-carbon design principles.
Experience working with international design teams.
Knowledge of European building regulations and permitting processes.
