Health & Safety Engineer (Contract – 6 Months)
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Engineer to support a major industrial power and infrastructure expansion project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across site operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, client standards, and international HSE management systems.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Coordinate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs for workforce personnel.
Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements and ensure safe execution of activities.
Review method statements, work permits, and job safety analyses (JSA).
Support environmental compliance initiatives aligned with ISO 14001 requirements.
Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records for audits and regulatory reviews.
Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, and authorities on HSE-related matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of HSE experience, preferably in power, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Valid and transferable Iqama.
Certified in NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
Certified/qualified in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Strong experience in electrical substations (approval as EHS Engineer by Saudi Electricity Company is preferred).
Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international best practices.
Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
