EHS Specialist – Industrial Energy Infrastructure | France


We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support the delivery of a major industrial electrical infrastructure project in France.


This is a site-based role focused on ensuring the highest standards of Environmental, Health & Safety compliance throughout construction, installation, and commissioning activities within a live industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Support the implementation of site EHS policies, procedures, and standards

Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and safety observations

Monitor high-risk activities including lifting operations, electrical works, work at height, and confined spaces

Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and LOTO procedures

Review and verify RAMS / method statements

Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings

Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions

Coordinate with contractors and project teams to drive a strong safety culture

Ensure compliance with local legislation and company EHS requirements


Requirements:


Proven experience in an EHS role on industrial, infrastructure, energy, or electrical construction projects

Strong knowledge of construction safety and high-risk activity management

Experience with HV/MV projects, substations, or power systems is highly desirable

Strong understanding of permit-to-work, LOTO, lifting, and contractor management

NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification preferred

English is essential

French is desirable
