Head of QA/QC

A leading international engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) to lead and elevate its global quality function.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the organisation's quality management framework, ensuring consistent standards and best practices are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

You will partner closely with project delivery, engineering, procurement, commercial, operations, and executive stakeholders to drive quality performance, manage risk, and support business growth across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and implement the corporate quality strategy.
• Lead and continuously improve the organisation's Quality Management System.
• Establish quality governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting structures.
• Drive quality assurance and quality control activities across project delivery functions.
• Lead internal and external audit programmes.
• Develop supplier quality and contractor performance initiatives.
• Oversee non-conformance management, root cause investigations, and corrective action programmes.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Support major bids, project reviews, and risk assessments.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality organisation across multiple locations.

Requirements

You are a proven quality leader with experience operating within complex project, engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or industrial environments.

You will bring:

• A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience leading Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions.
• A track record of developing and implementing quality systems and governance frameworks.
• Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams across geographically dispersed operations.
• Deep knowledge of auditing, supplier quality, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to delivery and execution
