Job Description:
The Lead Substation Electrical Owner's Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical substations. This role will involve working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design and engineering of substation projects
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
- Review and approve design drawings and specifications
- Manage subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Perform site visits and inspections
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in substation design and engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Experience with AutoCAD and other design software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
