### MEP Project Manager


The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works across large-scale construction and data centre projects. The role will oversee MEP activities from design coordination and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


The successful candidate will coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure effective delivery of complex MEP systems and seamless integration with the wider construction programme.


### Key Responsibilities


* Manage and oversee all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.

* Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.

* Develop and monitor MEP programmes, ensuring activities align with overall project milestones.

* Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and construction issues.

* Review MEP drawings, specifications, technical submissions, method statements, and installation plans.

* Ensure MEP works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Manage MEP procurement, material approvals, equipment deliveries, and installation sequencing.

* Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, progress, and compliance with project requirements.

* Coordinate MEP interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, and other construction disciplines.

* Lead regular site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions.

* Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

* Work closely with commercial and project controls teams to manage budgets, variations, claims, and cost implications relating to MEP works.

* Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities.

* Ensure all MEP inspections, testing records, documentation, and handover requirements are completed.

* Support project close-out and ensure systems are handed over in accordance with client requirements.

* Ensure all MEP activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

* Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior project management and key stakeholders.


### Requirements


* Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

* Proven experience managing MEP works on large-scale construction, mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or data centre projects.

* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services and their integration within complex construction environments.

* Experience managing MEP contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.

* Strong knowledge of project planning, construction sequencing, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

* Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.

* Strong project management, coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and commercial considerations.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced project environment.

* Data centre or other mission-critical infrastructure experience is highly desirable.

* Relevant professional or project management certifications would be advantageous.
