About the Role
Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading international renewable energy business in the search for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Poland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organisation at the forefront of the energy transition, managing projects from engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale BESS and renewable energy projects.
Manage EPC contractors throughout the full project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and risk registers.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and environmental standards.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
Manage client, contractor, consultant and utility relationships.
Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
Manage project risks, variations and contractual matters.
Support commercial negotiations and contract administration where required.
Drive successful project completion and handover.
Required Experience
Proven experience delivering EPC projects within the renewable energy or power sector.
Strong experience managing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
Previous experience working on utility-scale renewable energy developments.
Excellent understanding of EPC contract management.
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling and budget control.
Familiarity with HV substations, grid connection and commissioning activities is highly desirable.
Experience working under FIDIC or similar contract frameworks is advantageous.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Fluent English is essential; Polish language skills would be beneficial.
