The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities across data centre construction projects. The role will ensure that works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, consultants, and subcontractor teams to establish robust quality processes, identify potential issues early, and ensure timely resolution of defects and non-conformances.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan.
* Oversee quality control activities across MEP, civil, structural, and architectural works.
* Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
* Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
* Lead inspections, audits, testing, and quality surveillance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives on quality-related matters.
* Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
* Monitor and track defects, quality observations, inspection records, and outstanding works through to closure.
* Review and approve inspection and testing documentation, including material inspections, test reports, and commissioning-related quality records.
* Conduct regular site quality inspections and identify areas requiring corrective action.
* Support project teams in investigating quality issues and implementing root-cause analysis.
* Ensure all quality documentation is properly maintained and compiled for project handover and close-out.
* Conduct internal quality audits and support client or third-party audits where required.
* Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
* Promote a strong quality culture across project teams and provide guidance to engineers, supervisors, and site personnel.
* Provide regular quality performance updates and reports to project leadership.
### Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in QA/QC management within construction, MEP, engineering, or data centre projects.
* Strong understanding of construction quality management systems, inspection processes, ITPs, NCRs, and corrective actions.
* Experience working with major contractors, consultants, subcontractors, or client-side project teams.
* Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes, preferably within mission-critical or data centre environments.
* Familiarity with relevant international standards, project specifications, and local regulatory requirements.
* Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple quality activities across fast-paced construction projects.
* Relevant QA/QC or quality management certifications would be advantageous.
* Data centre or other critical infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
