  • Evaluate tenant technical requirements and confirm facility compliance, providing prompt, accurate, and strategic responses to technical queries.
  • Lead the integration of tenant-specific requirements into base building design and tenant fit-out, collaborating with internal teams.
  • Lead MEP design activities from a tenant-requirement perspective during the design development phase, ensuring alignment with Basis of Design (BOD) and customer specifications.
  • Review design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with tenant standards, technical requirements, and constructability considerations.
  • Provide authoritative technical input and design direction to internal teams (including sales and project management) and external consultants to drive leasing success.
  • Coordinate with overseas design teams, JV partners, and tenant technical teams to ensure proper understanding and translation of design intent.
  • Drive the resolution of technical issues during construction, commissioning, and tenant onboarding to ensure a smooth handover process.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency (both written and spoken).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (academic degree not strictly required if professional experience is sufficient).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in MEP design or construction within an architectural design firm, engineering consultant, general contractor, or MEP specialty contractor.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, particularly those applied to data centres or mission-critical facilities (HVAC, power, fire protection, etc.).
  • Proven experience in reviewing design and construction documents for technical compliance and coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple review processes simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data centre or mission-critical facility projects.
  • Familiarity with international design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
  • Experience coordinating design between Japan and overseas engineering teams.
  • Professional licenses or certifications (e.g., ?????, ?????, Professional Engineer, or equivalent) are advantageous.

If you are passionate about delivering innovative engineering solutions in a dynamic environment and want to play a key role in the growth of data centre operations, we invite you to apply.
