Senior Associate, Renewable Energy

About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy platform with a significant presence across Asia Pacific. As the business continues to expand its portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, they are seeking an Investment & Project Finance Manager to support project development, investment evaluation, financing activities, and portfolio performance management.


This role offers broad exposure across project development, acquisitions, financing, valuation, and asset management, working closely with regional development, legal, finance, and operations teams. It is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to play a key role in the growth of a leading renewable energy platform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise financial models for renewable energy projects across development, financing, construction, and operational phases.
  • Prepare project valuations, portfolio performance reports, and investment updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance and analyse financial results in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
  • Support investment evaluations, acquisitions, and development opportunities through financial analysis, scenario modelling, and risk-return assessments.
  • Work closely with development, legal, tax, and external advisory teams to assess regulatory, tax, and commercial considerations impacting investments.
  • Support financing activities, including lender models, financing structures, debt raising processes, and term sheet evaluations.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, board papers, and presentations for senior management, investors, and financing partners.
  • Contribute to transaction execution, project structuring, and strategic growth initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Evaluate innovative financing structures and funding solutions to support new development opportunities.
  • Provide project coordination support within cross-functional project teams as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in project finance, infrastructure investments, renewable energy, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial advisory.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, including project finance and valuation modelling.
  • Understanding of renewable energy project development, financing structures, and investment analysis.
  • Experience preparing investment papers, financial presentations, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams.
