Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer (Data Centres) - Bristol
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer with experience in Data Centres to join our team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the mechanical design of data centre projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of data centre projects from concept through to completion
- Manage and coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in mechanical design, specifically within data centres
- Chartered Engineer status preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling systems, and fire protection systems
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
