About the Role
Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading global energy and technology business within its Substation Division to appoint a Quality Management (QM) Specialist on a 12-month contract.
The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of the EQS (Environmental, Quality & Safety) governance framework across the APAC region, while helping strengthen capability, consistency and maturity across regional teams.
Reporting directly to the regional EQS leadership, you will work closely with the APAC EQS organisation and regional leadership teams to establish effective governance, improve processes and provide specialist coaching and support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the APAC EQS governance framework.
Drive consistent application of quality management processes and standards across the region.
Provide specialist QM expertise and guidance to regional teams and leadership.
Assess current processes and identify opportunities to improve quality maturity and governance.
Develop and implement quality management procedures, standards, tools and governance mechanisms.
Support audits, assessments, performance reviews and corrective action processes.
Identify quality risks and support the development of appropriate mitigation and improvement plans.
Coach and mentor regional teams to strengthen QM capability and ownership.
Work with stakeholders to ensure governance requirements are understood and effectively implemented.
Monitor quality performance, KPIs and compliance across regional activities.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and consistency.
Key Requirements
Strong professional experience in Quality Management, preferably within energy, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing or large-scale projects.
Proven experience working within a governance, compliance or management system environment.
Strong understanding of quality management principles, processes and continuous improvement.
Experience developing or implementing quality governance frameworks.
Demonstrable ability to coach, influence and support teams across different functions and locations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership.
Analytical and structured approach to identifying risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
Experience with audits, quality assurance, corrective actions and performance monitoring.
International or regional experience, ideally within an APAC environment, would be highly advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical QM expertise with governance experience and the ability to work as a trusted advisor to regional teams.
You will be comfortable operating in a complex, international organisation and have the credibility to coach, challenge and influence stakeholders while helping teams improve the maturity and consistency of their EQS processes.
