Site Manager – Electrical Installation Project
Location: Near Stavanger, Norway
Positions: 2
Work Pattern: 12 days on / 16 days off
Shift Duration: 12 hours per day
Role Overview
We are seeking two experienced Site Managers to support the execution of a major electrical installation project near Stavanger, Norway.
The Site Managers will work on a rotating 12 days on / 16 days off schedule, with 12-hour working days, providing continuous site leadership and supervision throughout the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
The role involves the management and coordination of electrical installation activities and associated auxiliary systems. Civil works are outside the scope of this position.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Execution
Manage day-to-day site activities for the assigned shift and coordinate site resources.
Lead and supervise electrical installation activities.
Coordinate subcontractors, installation teams, specialist personnel, and other project stakeholders.
Ensure activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and project requirements.
Monitor progress against the project programme and identify delays, constraints, or resource requirements.
Coordinate daily and weekly site planning with the wider project team.
Ensure effective handover between the two rotating Site Managers.
Health, Safety & Environment
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
Ensure all activities comply with applicable HSE requirements, legislation, and project procedures.
Lead site briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings as required.
Monitor safe systems of work and ensure appropriate permits, risk assessments, and method statements are in place.
Stop unsafe work where necessary and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Quality & Technical Compliance
Ensure installation activities comply with approved engineering documentation and applicable standards.
Coordinate inspections and quality-control activities.
Ensure non-conformances, defects, and punch-list items are identified, recorded, and closed out.
Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
Maintain accurate site records, installation documentation, progress reports, and as-built information.
Coordination & Reporting
Act as the primary site interface for the assigned shift.
Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, HSE, Quality, Commissioning, and subcontractor teams.
Participate in site coordination meetings and provide regular progress updates.
Escalate technical, schedule, safety, quality, and resource issues promptly.
Support planning, logistics, materials management, and resource coordination.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in electrical construction and site management, preferably on major energy, transmission, or industrial projects.
Experience managing complex electrical installation activities.
Experience coordinating subcontractors and specialist installation teams.
Strong understanding of electrical construction safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, installation procedures, and method statements.
Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Strong organisational, leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively within a rotating shift environment.
Willingness to work on site near Stavanger on a 12 days on / 16 days off rotation.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience on major electrical, energy, transmission, or industrial projects.
Experience with high-voltage electrical installations.
Experience with electrical equipment installation, cabling, testing, and commissioning.
Experience working on international EPC or major infrastructure projects.
Relevant electrical/HV qualifications and recognised site safety qualifications.
Experience working in highly regulated industrial or energy environments.

Working Pattern
The two Site Managers will operate on a rotating basis:
12 days on / 12-hour shifts ? 16 days off ? rotation
The Site Managers will be expected to conduct a thorough handover at the end of each rotation to ensure continuity of safety, construction progress, quality, technical issues, documentation, and outstanding actions.
