About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading renewable energy platform with a growing portfolio of development, construction, and operating assets across Asia Pacific.
As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking a Vice President, Investments & Project Finance to play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, driving financing activities, supporting capital deployment, and maximising portfolio value creation across the region.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership, development teams, investors, lenders, and external advisors to support strategic growth initiatives, project financing, acquisitions, and portfolio management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and execution of renewable energy investments across development, construction, and operating assets.
- Oversee project valuations, investment analysis, and financial modelling to support investment decision-making.
- Conduct commercial and financial due diligence on development opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive risk-return analysis and scenario planning to optimise portfolio performance and capital allocation.
- Lead project financing activities, including debt structuring, lender engagement, financing negotiations, and financial close processes.
- Develop innovative financing strategies and capital structures to support new development initiatives and portfolio growth.
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
- Support fundraising activities and engagement with existing and prospective capital providers.
- Partner closely with development, legal, commercial, and technical teams to assess project viability and investment attractiveness.
- Provide financial and commercial guidance throughout permitting, development, construction, and operational phases.
- Monitor evolving regulatory, tax, and market dynamics across target markets and assess their impact on investment strategies.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda, board papers, portfolio reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, investors, and financing partners.
- Deliver portfolio performance updates and valuation reviews for shareholders and key stakeholders.
- Support executive leadership on strategic planning, business growth initiatives, and regional expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience within infrastructure investments, renewable energy, project finance, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
- Strong track record in renewable energy investments, project finance, M&A, or infrastructure transactions.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex financial modelling, investment analysis, and financing processes.
- Deep understanding of renewable energy markets, project development lifecycle, and infrastructure financing structures.
- Experience engaging with lenders, investors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
