Wind Project Manager SEA

About the Opportunity
A leading global renewable energy organisation is seeking a Wind TSI Project Manager to support the delivery, installation, and commissioning of utility-scale wind projects across Southeast Asia. This is a critical, client-facing role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while coordinating across international teams and complex supply chains. You will play a key role in driving execution excellence across turbine supply and installation (TSI) activities in a high-growth regional market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for wind turbine supply, installation, and commissioning activities across SEA
- Coordinate internal project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules and budgets
- Work closely with senior project leadership (e.g. Project Director) on execution strategy and delivery milestones
- Manage project interfaces with customers, ensuring alignment, communication, and successful project acceptance
- Monitor supply chain, logistics planning, and subcontractor performance across project lifecycle
- Support recruitment and mobilisation of site teams, including technicians and installation personnel
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on technical and commercial matters
- Track project progress, deliverables, and performance metrics, ensuring timely reporting and risk mitigation
- Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, delays, and operational challenges
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination to resolve issues and remove execution roadblocks
- Lead or participate in project meetings covering safety, quality, planning, forecasting, and risk management
- Support post-installation activities and ensure smooth handover to operations where required
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
- Mandatory experience in the wind industry, ideally within turbine supply, installation, or commissioning scope
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, commercial considerations, and contract execution
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders in complex project environments
- Experience working with OEMs, developers, or EPC contractors in renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of supply chain coordination, subcontractor management, and site operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint)
- Fluent in Chinese and strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability and confidence in challenging the status quo
