The client is a global leader in energy technology, headquartered in Munich, Germany, delivering solutions across the full energy value chain — from power generation and transmission to storage. With an order backlog that reached a record €138 billion in fiscal year 2025 and revenue of €39.1 billion, the company operates across gas services, grid technologies, and sustainable energy systems. Its competitive edge is built on technological leadership in critical energy infrastructure, including hydrogen-ready turbine platforms and HVDC technology, alongside an expansive global service network spanning multiple continents.
The client needed to assemble a complete commissioning team across highly niche skill sets for a Combined Cycle Power Plant in Argentina. Compounding the technical challenge were significant logistical hurdles: visa complications and local payroll difficulties in a challenging geography threatened to derail the entire hiring programme.
Spencer Ogden engaged key stakeholders across multiple departments to fully understand each team's specific needs and priorities. Using an extensive candidate network and a proactive referral strategy, four qualified candidates were identified per requirement, with visa eligibility and payroll options already checked before submission. References were gathered and commitment confirmed before any candidate was presented. Spencer Ogden then worked closely with the client throughout the interview process and supported offer negotiations to secure the team at a cost-effective rate.
